Heartache Diet

Well, the heartache is doing exactly what I thought it would
and I've completely lost my appetite.
When I do choke some food down, I get throw it up almost immediately,
cause I feel constantly sick to my stomach.
I made a huge batch of detox tea
(Habanero Pepper, Ginger, Lemon, & Green Tea boiled & strained)
and I've been drinking that whenever I feel like I need to "eat" something.
Today, I've felt less sad - meaning I ate a 16oz of Cold Quinoa Salad
(Cooked Quinoa, Cucumber, Tomato, Chickpeas, & Kalamenta Olives)
and two 90calorie packages of dried fruit.
In the past week, I have run every day - at least 2 miles.
Tuesday evening I even walked 10 miles after ran the first 2.
One day the only thing I ate was a spinach smoothie & half an apple.
Another day I only had a cucumber and 2 hard boiled eggs.
I don't have a scale, so I don't know what I weigh, but I'm feeling tiny.

Vacation Eats

On a recent trip home I had a good mix of delicious food&treats.
Breakfast every morning - courtesy of dad - was TwoFriedEggs&WheatMuffin.
Lunch was often BrownRice&Veggies.
Dinner - even when eaten out - was VeganBurgers&Salads.
The dessert I indulged in with my girlfriends during The Bachelor viewing
was "smore lesagna" with layers of GramCracker&MarshmellowTopping.
It was all about portion control & intelligent selections.
I didn't feel a bit of guilt.

Sweet Treat

This "ice cream" is amazing.
Yes, it has a bit of sugar in it,
but it has significant fiber also
and a small amount of protien.
I limit myself to the 1/2 cup serving size
(which I'll admit is very difficult)
but even that 1/2 cup is an awesome treat.
Dairy Free - Organic - Cocunut Milk
...doesn't get much better...

Frozen Meals

I'm finally getting good at packing food for flying.
I made a huge batch of brown rice
(made with chicken broth instead of water)
and mixed it with veggies&beans.
I put the meals in tin foil inside a tupperwear dish
and froze them.
So they work as ice packs in my lunchbox
and they're healthy.
And when I have packed food,
I feel guilty thinking about buying or munching on airplane food.
So far, I've felt much better&healthier this month.

KEEP GOING

I'm the maid-of-honor in my best friend's wedding
and she's started getting discouraged with her bridal diet.
In the first 2 weeks, she dropped 7lbs
(she doesn't have much to lose in the first place)
and now she's at a stand-still.
Her frustration reminded me of this saying:

Pineapple Goodness

I'm obsessed with dried pineapple...
I should probably pick the kind that's dried without sugar,
but the sweet deliciousness is so wonderful!
I need to stop.

Post-pregnancy Perfection

I stumbled upon this article from January
and was shocked by the comments people left on this poor girl's photo.
Pure jealousy - that's for sure.
But still, its so sad to me that our society worships tiny actresses&models
yet hates on them at the same time...
it's a lose-lose.
You're either tiny&perfect yet judged for being "too tiny"
or your fat&unhealthy yet judged for not being "tiny enough."
Why does anyone care what this mother's body looks like?
I know that I post a lot about actresses&musicians
and comment mostly on their appearances
(I mean, come on, you all know this is basically a thinspo blog...)
but I also don't really care if people want to be fatORskinny
as long as they're happy&healthy.
My goodness, the audacity of people to post negative comments
on a woman's progress post-birth is disgusting.
Also, I'd like to point out that her caption mentioned
how hard she's been working out to get this body back...
so it's not like she's even promoting an unhealthy lifestyle!

Clay Cleanse

So I was doing some research on this whole "eating clay" thing
and I ran across this article about Zoë Kravitz
who had to drop weight for The Road Within.
(a flick I must find&watch immediately)
The girl looks great, I'd say.
But, I don't think I'll be eating clay anytime soon.
Not that I wouldn't try it...
it just seems a bit hard to come by
and, unless I'm a super rich celebrity,
I don't know that I could trust my own clay sources.
(haha)
...it's funny:
I was actually thinking that Zoë looks really small in the Insurgent previews.
Guess, I was right.
