Suki Cutie

She's an English model&actress and the daughter of a plastic surgeon.
She's beautiful&thin.
(but, surprisingly not too thin like many models...)
And they seem super cute together.
I'm excited to see her play Marlene, a character I grew to like in the series.

Week Excitement

Insurgent will be out in ONE WEEK.
In honor of my excitement, here's a shot of Zoë Kravitz being tiny.

Clay Cleanse

So I was doing some research on this whole "eating clay" thing
and I ran across this article about Zoë Kravitz
who had to drop weight for The Road Within.
(a flick I must find&watch immediately)
The girl looks great, I'd say.
But, I don't think I'll be eating clay anytime soon.
Not that I wouldn't try it...
it just seems a bit hard to come by
and, unless I'm a super rich celebrity,
I don't know that I could trust my own clay sources.
(haha)
...it's funny:
I was actually thinking that Zoë looks really small in the Insurgent previews.
Guess, I was right.

DUthinF

The DUFF Cast
It's pretty silly that the main character, Mae Whitman,
is supposed to be fat, but isn't fat at all.
(though there were times during Parenthood when she didn't look so hot...)
But I still think its the perfect role for her.
Mae plays that angsty outcast wonderfully.
When I saw the first preview, I couldn't place Bella Thorne, though
...then I realized she played Adam Sandler's daughter in Blended
(and incredibly stupid yet embarrassingly laughable comedy with Drew Barrymore)
and I remembered how much I admired her thin frame after her "makeover."
The DUFF is definitely a flic full of beautiful&thinspirational people
and, if you haven't read the book: you should.
After her "makeover" in Blended
While shooting The DUFF

50 Shades of Thin

I didn't read 50 Shades of Grey
(though, I do still want to)
and I've heard people we're happy about the movie casting,
but I'll admit I was excited after seeing the previews
and how thin Dakota Johnson is.
One friend described the leading man, Jamie Dornan, as a "Man Child"
but who cares when he's fucking a tiny woman...
sexy, skinny thinspo is alright in my book.

Insurgent Countdown

46 Days till Insurgent comes out
and I can watch these thin&beautiful actresses dominate the big screen.
I am excited.

Thinspiring Emma

I never tend to know that awards shows are happening till they're over.
So, obviously, I'm just now reading through the winners of the
I must admit, I've never even heard of Birdman
but I looked it up and Emma Stone looks like a thinspirational goddess.
She's always tiny.
I think I've posted before about my love for Easy A
but its nice to see her developing as an actress, too.
...I mean, Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture, that's awesome.
Guess I'll have to check it out.

Shrinking Shailene

I'm very behind,
but I recently learned that I like Divergent
thanks to HBO On Demand.
I especially like how sexy Theo James is,
but - obviously - I can't help loving how thin Shailene Woodley is.
I ran across this article the other day
and I'll admit that her practices are a little much for me,
but I do like that she's simplified her life
and seems to really appreciate all she has
and all she's capable of on her own.
The part where she says she's never "lost weight" is silly, though.
She's clearly getting bonier&bonier.

DirtyDancing Thin

Speaking of Jennifer Grey...
Dirty Dancing is/was always a form of thinspo for me.
Not only was Baby ittybitty, but Penny was tiny, too!
Actress, Cynthia Rhodes had bony arms&shoulders
that I want&wanted so badly!
Time to break that movie out and watch it again.

Vintage Thin

The boy and I watched White Christmas the other day
and I was immediately brought back to my youth
watching it every year with my mother
who still watches it to this day.
I was shocked to notice how tiny Vera-Ellen was in it
and proceeded to tell the boyfriend that
it's no wonder I have such wild body image
when I grew up watching actresses like her
I had to read Vera's bio, of course:
"Vera's career died down in the late 1950s once filmed musicals lost their fashion. It was later discovered that, due to the dancer's compulsive dieting obsession, she had silently battled anorexia throughout much of the 50s before anyone was even aware or doctors had even coined the term or devised treatments."
...so sad to suffer in silence,
but I can't help but wish I had the willpower
because her body looked absolutely flawless.

Anna Thin

I wish I could describe myself as "very small."
I know she's referring to her height, too,
but in general - she has a tiny body.
I was reading a blog with thinspo movie suggestions
and a lot of people commented that Pitch Perfect is
...I never really noticed, but I can totally see it.
I find it kind of ironic that their are so many movements toward
- accepting your body as it is -
- celebrating your average body -
- embracing your curves -
yet celebrities just get smaller&smaller
and the stories we try to relate to in movies
are acted out by frail actresses that we shouldn't aspire to be.
I'll be watching Pitch Perfect 2 for sure
...and probably fasting that day.

Crazy Miley

I've said it before & I'll say it again:
I think Miley is a cutie.
I don't love her, but I def like her.
She's adorable&unique.
I like the way she talks...
with that slight speech impediment
and the wind things she's doing lately.
I don't mind her rediculous VMA performance
or all the buzz she got from it.
She's skinny&silly
and I dig that in her.

GaybyThinspo

I ran across this movie on Netflix.
It was so silly&entertaining.
I love the LGBT section...
I mostly dig the main character's thin frame.
She was always going to yoga classes
(an activity I really should pick up)
and having sex with her gay bestfriend
cause they were trying to have a baby.
And even when she's (spoiler alert) preggo
she's a teeny&tiny lady.
Thinspiration.

Bosworth Thin

She looks like an alien...
but damn!
I long to look so tiny.
I need to get my shit together
and stop making excuses
instead of just becoming so tiny myself.
Get it together!
RIGHT NOW.

LOL

Last Friday was movie day
and I decided to watch LOL...
pretty silly&cheesy movie,
but Miley Cyrus and Demi Moore
are both beautiful&thin people.
Recently, too, I've been loving Miley's style.
Her outfit at the 2013 Costume Institute Gala
was definitely one of my favorites...
I'm just loving all these 90's looks.
the Dr. Martins
the Mesh
the Tied-up Button-down Tops
...all of it.

Bachelorette Thinspo

I decided to watch Bachelorette on Netflix recently.
I can't say I loved it...
but it was definitely a source of thinspo.
Kirsten Dunst is bulimic in the movie
(or had been bulimic)
and decides to purge when she's stressed,
which is something I've done often in life.
And all the main characters are teeny-tiny...
besides the actual bride
who says everyone thinks she's
"too fat to get married."
Also, there's some coke-usage,
which is another path I've taken to thin in the past.
So, anywho,
it was just a bit of unhealthy motivation
to stay on the skinny-trail.
In general,
I love Kirsten.
She's always been tiny
with an adorable-little-body
and roles that I enjoy.
I can never pass up a Kirsten Dunst movie.

Food Matters

I think my favorite aspect of the Food Matters documentary
was the way they pointed out that
eating certain foods can promote beauty from the inside out.
Yes, I want to eat to be skinny
-
but I want to eat to feel good
and if certain foods can positively effect my skin&hair&nails
than I'm down to try them.
Instead of piling on chemical-packed creams&lotions
I could make them pointless by eating simply.
Obviously, the moral of all of these healthy documentaries is
eating natural&simple
-
don't make your body work harder than it needs to
to break down food
...
the harder it works, the worse off you are.

These are some tips I found on Organic Authority
to "eat for your complexion."
o Vitamin A from Cartenoids: deals with inflammation, encourages cell turnover (for natural exfoliation) and strengthens your skin's defenses against clogged pores. Add a spinach or kale salad with tomatoes to your daily diet and see what happens. Reap all the benefits of vitamin A by pairing it with zinc, which helps the transportation of vitamin A from your liver to all of your tissues, including your skin.
o Which brings us to Zinc: an acne combatant, zinc helps regulate sebum production, stopping shine and preventing more breakouts. Add 1 cup chickpeas or 1/4 cup pumpkin seeds to that salad we were talking about for skin that glows without looking greasy.
o Omega-3s: The right oils can help replenish lipid-starved skin from the inside, sealing in moisture and soothing inflammation that can result from dryness. Consider adding flax oil to the dressing in the aforementioned salad to quench your skin.
o Whole Grains: if you (or your teen) have acne prone skin, try this experiment. Cut refined carbs from your diet in favor of high-fiber grains and let's talk in 12 weeks. If you don't have half as many pimples by then... well, we'll be surprised. All those processed carbs cause your pancreas to send out a surge of insulin, triggering a hormonal reaction that increases oil production and tells cells to multiply — all of which gridlocks those pores.
o Ahh, Probiotics: these beneficial bacterias help keep skin soft. When your intestines are working right, they can better absorb all of the nutrients your skin needs from your diet. Keeping that salad in mind, you can get your probiotic fix by adding a helping of tempeh or fermented veggies such as pickles or sauerkraut. Or, if you're on the train, have a kombucha on the side!

Thinspo Movies

I went on a documentary craze
last Friday during work.
I didn't feel like starting a new TV show
was suggested to me by Netflix.
From there, I watched "Food Matters"
then a couple different ones on
local farming
eating fresh
and
the dangers of the meat industry.
(maybe I'll discuss those later.)
All of which were so interesting
and inspirational.
I wish everyone I care about
would watch Hungry For Change.
It was worded so well
and seemed so relateable
without being extreme
or attacking.
I definitely recommend it
and sometimes I think documentaries
are the most fun way to learn.
(more detailed reviews to come.)

I found a list of thispo movies last week,
so maybe I'll have some reviews on these soon.
-For the love of Nancy
-Hunger Point
-Kate’s Secret
-Sharing the Secret
-Little Girls in Pretty Boxes
-Perfect Body
-The Best Little Girl In the World
-Dying to Dance
-A Secret Between Friend

L!fe Happens

I decided to watch L!fe Happens today
while I was working from home.
It was full of actors&actresses I love
so I figured it to be a great choice
and I was absolutely correct.
Not only was it a well-put-together
funny&heartwarming movie
but it was surprisingly thinspirational.
all tiny&beautiful ladies.
At one point...
Kate Bosworth was making a smoothie in the kitchen
and as she reached her arms out to work the blender
every bone in her body protruded.
A wonderfully thinspiring sight.
I must.must.must get my shit together.
"Are there any more burritos left?"
"No."
"I guess I'll just eat a hot sauce packet."
-L!fe Happens

I'd love it if the boyfriend got a job in California.
Being in that sunshine
and surrounded by those beautiful people
would definitely be a constant thinspiration.
