Christmas Cute

I spent Christmas Eve in Argentina.

I didn't bring the cutest of outfits,

but I felt cute anyway.

My manfriend thinks I should wear tighter clothes

"you have an amazing body. why don't you show it off?"

he says.

But I like looser clothes.

I feel smaller when items are hanging off me.

The tight pants still proved that I'm not as big as my oversized top.

Thin Ex

My brother's gold-digging ex-girlfriend recently got engaged.

Based on her body language, she looks really into him.

(not.)

When she dated my brother, she always drove me crazy.

She'd order huge portions then just pick at it without eating any.

Then she'd go on&on about how she had such a big appetite

and how she always ate so much.

I wanted to scream: no you don't! who do you think you're fooling!?



Uniform Sexy

I used to work in Disney World.

This was my costume.

Not super flattering, but I liked the high-wasted pants.

For some reason, I always felt sexy in my costume.

Maybe it's just because I was happy every day

and when you're happy, you feel good about yourself.

Soon, I'll be wearing a flight attendant uniform daily

and I'm sure I'll feel sexy in that, too.

Grammy Thin

I can't say I'm a huge fan of Ariana Grande

...not because I have anything against her,

I just don't listen to a lot of current pop music.

But, if I had to pick the most adorable&thinnest musician

(besides Miley, of course)

on the 57th Grammy Red Carpet last night

it would certainly be Ariana.

Some tweets I saw during the show really accentuated her tiny shoulders.

I mean, she is an itty-bitty person in general...

I remember how small she looked during the VS Fashion Show,

and, even though I was pretty thin when I was 21, too

I'm really motivated to work out my fat arms now.

(haha)

Thankfully, some of my least favorite people looked terrible...

Beyoncé&KimK looked average&old.

And those who tend to always look wonderful did:

like Taylor&Rihana&Gwen.

It's always thinspiration to see celebs all-dolled-up.

I think it's admirable that she has a tiny body

but Tyra definitely does not look like a model.

My friend and I always watch it

Monday Look

I feel pretty today.

This is a recycled outfit from last Friday

...I wore it to a comedy show with the boyfriend.

I felt like I needed to show it off again.

My legs are thicker than I'd like

and the sweater is big&baggy

but I like the look all the same.

Biggest Picture

One of my best college girlfriends

has been using spinning&swimming and Weight Watchers

to lose the weight she gained after moving home from college.

She looks amazing!

And at lunch on Thursday afternoon

we were discussing how easy it is to gain without noticing.

We were talking about when we'd been at our "biggest"

and I can picture so clearly the exact day I think

I was the biggest I've ever been.

I had a day off from work and I did some shopping.

I wore a loose dress that I'd always worn with a belt,

but I let it fall sloppily around my chubby body.

I threw on accessories

- scarves&bracelets&layers -

to distract from how big my body looked.

My face was bloated&round

...even big sunglasses couldn't cover my sweaty cheeks.

I took pictures with some of the displays I liked.

(obviously not completely aware of how disgusting I looked)

Now I can look back on them

and remind myself never to look like that again.

VS Models

I follow Glamour Magazine on Facebook

and they're always posting thinspirational things.

Today they posted about the first Victoria's Secret Fashion Shows

(an obvious favorite on the TV lineup)

and I couldn't help noticing how "normal" the models look.

No, they're not chubby&soft

but they're not bony&thin like the models are now.

I like both versions

...mostly because I like VS always.

The boyfriend LOVES tanktops.

I definitely think we should have these.

Only I wish the "Beauty" was a different color than Pink.

Sabrina Thinspo

Zelda lookin' thin in her junpsuite

I've been watching Sabrina the Teenage Witch on Hulu+

and channeling my inner late 90's early 00's fashion sense.

Her aunt Zelda, played by Beth Broderick, is the shows thinspiration, though.

She's supposed to be the nerdy aunt

but she's always so sexy - example: the above photo.

Sabrina, on the other hand, played by Melissa Joan Hart,

definitely goes through her awkward development throughout the show.

I mean, in my early 20's, I'm still fluctuating.

No matter her weight, I love her, though.

I'd like to point out Paige Collins' tiny frame.

Her character is adorable

and so is her body&style.

I love all her clothes&accessories.

So excited to watch the new season.

Facebookness Revisited

I feel like I need to go back and expand on some posts from last winter.

Take for instance my "Facebookness" post.

It's sad that celebrities have to defend themselves.

I'm definitely a fan of flippin' through US Weekly and checkin' out all the bodies

and I certainly have my opinions while doing so

but to publicly attack&harass someone on their facebook seems wild to me.

I think Miranda Lambert looks great.

I got sick of seeing her picture all over the place for her weightloss

but America loves a good comeback story, so it's no surprise.

I agree with her criticism of "the scale" and appreciate her emphasis on diet&exercise

instead of the pills&cleanses some celebs endorse.

I definitely get bogged down when I see "129lbs" when all I want is "119lbs"

but I know that it's about how I feel and confidence is key.

Secondly, I very irritated with the Tara Lynn rage

mostly because she's so not plus sized in my mind and so many praised her anyway.

And I think this cover was overly photoshopped cos she looks much bigger usually.

But also because of the ignorant things so many people say.

Like I said in my post about Miss USA:

It's sad that we cling to the "bigger" girls.

It's sad that we worship someone for not being thin.

Why do we have to pick a side to latch to at all?

(probably because the population of chubbos we've turned into needs an icon.)
